Alliance announces Demonstration Day 2019
The Structural Concrete Alliance will be holding a Practical Demonstration Day on Wednesday 25 September in Leigh, Lancashire. It has also announced Alliance Roadshows on 10 September in Wakefield and 19 November in Bristol.
The free event Practical Demonstration Day offers delegates an opportunity to witness interactive demonstrations of key concrete repair, protection, strengthening and sprayed concrete techniques. Delegates will be able to closely examine these specialist products and see first-hand how they can be used in a variety of applications.
Following an initial welcome and introduction, delegates will be divided into groups to tour a range of demonstration stations. Each station features a different display highlighting the key preparation, skills and techniques involved in: concrete repairs; resin injection; carbon fibre strengthening; sprayed concrete; and cathodic protection and monitoring systems.
A separate exhibition area will allow delegates to compare products and discuss technical queries and upcoming projects with a selection of manufacturers, contractors and distribution companies. Since all exhibitors are members of the Corrosion Prevention Association (CPA), Concrete Repair Association (CRA) or Sprayed Concrete Association (SCA), the quality and professionalism of their service is assured.
The Alliance Demonstration Days are suitable for all involved in the repair, refurbishment, protection and management of concrete infrastructure. They offer an excellent overview of all the latest techniques making them ideal for consultants, contractors, authorities, specifiers, surveyors and engineers with responsibility for awarding maintenance and refurbishment contracts.

These half-day seminars aim to provide delegates with an introduction to Structural Asset Protection and Repair and will feature focused advice and case studies related to Infrastructure, including bridges and marine projects.
