COVID-19 causes CITB delays
COVID-19 has unfortunately delayed the qualification process and although CITB have issued a holding notice on the funding available, we have not stood still and 9 assessors have been successfully identified, as well as 2 internal quality assessors. These are being registered for the relevant courses via the National Specialist Accreditation Team (NSAC).
As we progress, the plan is to get the assessors and IQA together in September and commence the training process.
CITB has already announced its COVID-19 recovery plan and Government have also announced the staff retention scheme, all of which will effect training moving forward.
The training committee in conjunction with the technical committee are also looking at developing a number of introductory webinars and training sessions for the various skills which should also be launched in September.
