Alliance Industry Day

The Structural Concrete Alliance, 2024 Industry Day, will focus on the crucial theme of sustainability in construction practices. The event will bring together attendees from the Concrete Repair Association (CRA), Corrosion Prevention Association (CPA), Sprayed Concrete Association (SCA) and wider.

The day will comprise of presentations:

David Offord: Onsite Central
Presentation Title: “OnSite’s Sustainability Journey”

Chris Wozencroft: Corrosion Engineering
Presentation Title: “Corrosion Resistance of Concrete Utilising Low Carbon Cements”

Said El-Belbol & Natalie Bird: National Highways 
Presentation Title: “National Highways’ Net Zero Carbon Road Map with Specific Reference to Concrete Materials”

Fergus Herradence: Department for Business and Trade 

A Panel discussion will follow the presentations

The event will be hosted by Professor Paul Lambert of Mott Macdonald.

Paul Lambert has over 40 years’ experience in the investigation of structural durability and degradation and in the development of novel remedial techniques for civil and building structures, most recently as Head of Materials & Corrosion at Mott MacDonald.  He became one of three inaugural Mott MacDonald Fellows in 2023.Paul is Visiting Professor at the Centre for Infrastructure Management at Sheffield Hallam University where he carries out research into novel materials and repair technologies.
